Exporting Inventory From RICS

Here's how to export an inventory list from RICS that can be used to upload inventory to BoxFox:

If the 'Modern Retail Web Feed' is enabled within your system:

1) Go to 'Reporting' > 'Data Exports' > 'Custom Exports' > 'Modern Retail Web Feed'.

2) Once you've selected 'Modern Retail Web Feed', filter out by the specific string of the SKU's you'd like to export and save to .csv. You can also export the entire list and filter out the desired items and quantities in Excel.

3) For BoxFox to properly recognize your items, you need to include UPC, title, quantity, and size (if applicable). Fields like price and cost are helpful as well. You can delete other columns from your spreadsheet that don't apply.

4) Please make sure the UPC's you export are from the manufacturer (not your own store codes).

If 'Modern Retail Web Feed' is not enabled:

1) Go to 'Reporting' > 'Inventory/Purchase Orders' > 'Export Inventory Quantities'.

2) Once you've selected this report, filter out by the specific string of the SKU's you'd like to export and save to .csv. You can also export the entire list and filter out the desired items and quantities in Excel.

3) For BoxFox to properly recognize your items, you need to include UPC, title, quantity, and size (if applicable). Fields like brand, price, and cost are helpful as well. You can delete other columns from your spreadsheet that don't apply.

4) Please make sure the UPC's you export are from the manufacturer (not your own store codes).

You can save your inventory list as a .CSV or Excel file. Before you do, please make sure your UPC's display properly within the spreadsheet. To help format your inventory data for BoxFox, you can download a template spreadsheet here. You can also access FAQ's for selling inventory on BoxFox.
